Santa Wishes

A quick card to share with you made for the Global Design Project #GDP012 challenge.  For my card, I decided to CASE the colors – (tho I changed from Cherry Cobbler to Real Red), Pool Party and Whisper White.  I love this Designer Series Paper – it helps make very quick cards when needed.  I have a hard time just sticking with one card for my Christmas cards – so I like to have a few quick, cute cards that I can whip out quickly.  What about you – do you like quick cards or more complicated ones?

A Sale For You…

Penguins_small

and some really cute penguins!  I was having fun a few weeks ago making this pop-up card fold that Tami White showed me at our demonstrator meeting.  I loved it and decided I had to make some of my own for my swap card for Technique Club.  As I mentioned the other day, this is my favorite bundle in the Holiday catalog – I showed you the Snowmen in my last post – well here is the penguin.  Such fun winter characters that can be used into the New Year.

Well, I started with a comment about a sale!  It is here!  Stampin’ Up!’s On-Line Extravaganza where you can save up to 50% on select product!  How cool is that!

Snowman Set

I am in LOVE!!  The Snow Place bundle is my favorite bundle in the holiday catalog.  These guys are just so cute!  And the penguin? Adorable!!  Love all the little accessory pieces.  Yes – a little more work – but well worth it!  This little set features a Twisted Fold gift card holder (on the left) and a Hershey Nugget snowman.  I can see making more of these for teachers, the bus driver, friends, co-workers, and the list goes on.  The nice thing about the Twisted Fold card – it will fit in a regular envelope! What a great way to send a gift card to a friend or family.  For the nugget snowman, the hat and scarf are attached on the outside of the cellophane bag – making it easier to fit in the bag!   The face on the nugget is from the large snowman -just use a marker to color in the face and stamp on your card stock.  The nuggets are covered with 1″ x 3″ strips of Whisper White card stock.  (Stamp your snowman details before you wrap the paper around the nugget).

Enjoy!

Flourishes

SwirlCards_small

Good morning! Today I have a quick card using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I’ll be making a gift set with this design for the upcoming Gifts Class I am hosting on December 4. These cards are quick and pretty. Add a little bling to the flower centers and there you go! The color combos are Cucumber Crush/Mint Macaron and Cherry Cobbler/Blushing Bride. I really like the Cherry Cobbler/Blushing Bride color combination. Which one do your prefer?

Pine Bough Wreath

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a card that we made at the second Christmas Stamp-A-Stack class on Friday night.  Making wreaths with stamps is fun and easy!  This wreath is made using the pine branches and pine cones in the Berry Merry stamp set from the Holiday catalog and was inspired by Dena Rekow and Oksana Semenski.

BerryWreath_small  I  created a template from the card board found in the Designer Series Paper packaging the same size as my front panel.  Then I punched a 2 1/2″ circle in the template.  When you line up your card stock underneath the template, simply take a pencil and lightly trace the circle.  Now you have the base for your wreath!  Just stamp the pine branches using the circle as your guide.  Pretty easy!  The large pine branch is stamped with Pear Pizzazz while the smaller branch is stamped with Garden Green ink.  The pine cones are added last and they are stamped in Soft Suede.  The flower is punched from Cherry Cobbler scraps with the Petite Petal punch.  Layer one on top of the over, offsetting the petals just a bit.  Finally, add an Iced  Rhinestone to the center and your wreath is complete.  The sentiment is from Six Sayings hostess set found in the Holiday catalog.  Hope you like it!

Pretty Poinsettia

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a card I made for Friday’s last Christmas Stamp-A-Stack.  This card uses the Reason for the Season stamp set.  I love poinsettias – and creating them with this set is so easy to do.  Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?
